How Green Is this Tour?

  • Carbon Offsets & Renewable Energy

Using a ton of math and some pretty fancy spreadsheets, Reverb calculates all CO2 emissions from buses, trucks, flights, venue energy use, and hotel accommodations. Then we're able to provide detailed analysis of the tour's carbon footprint.

Once we have a better idea of how large the footprint is, we'll put together a plan that includes the support of carbon offset projects like wind farms. By supporting clean, renewable energy, we're able to keep dirty energy (made by fossil fuels like coal) off the grid and pollution out of the air.

  • Hospitality & Catering

In an effort to cut down on plastic water bottle use, we'll supply reusable water bottles for the band and crew, as well as backstage water stations where everyone can fill up (it get's hot out here on the road). We'll also be swapping out paper and plastic catering products (plates, cups, etc.) with items that are biodegradable. Did you know that they make cups out of corn?

We'll also make sure that everyone is staying green on the tour bus with eco-friendly cleaning products that are made of all-natural, non-toxic ingredients and recycling bins for everyone.

  • Waste Reduction & Recycling

It's hard to make sure everything ends up in the right bin on the road, so we provide recycling bins and signage for all production offices, dressing rooms, catering, and buses to make waste reduction simple for everyone on the tour. We recycle glass, aluminum, paper and plastic products as well as batteries to keep them out of landfills where it can up to a million years for some products to break down.

Recycling also reduces depletion of our resources like trees and oil, and keeps nasty chemicals out of the ground and the water. Did you know that every year, over 900 million trees are cut down to make paper for American consumers? We also we make enough plastic film each year to shrink-wrap the state of Texas. What's up with that?

  • Fan Engagement

While being green backstage and on the road is important, REVERB and fun. know that working together with fans can have an exponentially-increasing impact.

fun. encourages all fans to take a look at their individual and collective environmental footprints and make changes to minimize impact. Spread the word, work with fellow fans and friends and see what you can do. Basic ideas: Walk, bike, take public transportation or carpool to a show. Use a refillable water bottle instead of many disposable plastic bottles. Recycle. Eat and shop locally.
